If it is taking you 2 hours to clean a rifle after using Wolf then you are doing something very wrong. Go and get a bore snake and cut the cleaning time down to 10 minutes tops.

It doesn't take me two hours to clean a rifle after using Wolf ammo, but it does take much more than 10 minutes, even with a bore snake. What type of cleaning solution are you using, Gangsta?

Wolf is nasty. I have some cases for backup in case I someday run out of all the other stuff I've got, but for now, I just don't want to mess with the filthy stuff.

I dont think Wolf is dirty at all. I just clean with a paper towel and Hoppes a rod and brush and a patch or two for the bore and thats it. Easy. I think my G21 gets a LOT dirtier with WWB and Speer and American Eagle. Im talking powder all over the front of the gun after shooting but that too, is a cinch to clean. Who knows...

I was just joshing on two hours .......but for as long as I could remeber Wolf was always the cheapest stuff you find no matter the caliber and I remeber the diffrence almost being close to 30-50% less.

Now..... that stuff is commanding a premium like it was grade A reloadable brass.

How do you know how much money I have made? I bet its a lot more than you think.

Also what do I care if there is a bubble or prices remain permanantly high? I am buying the ammo and selling it a day or two after I get it and using the profits to buy a gun here and there, and the rest is going into gold.

Im not stockpiling ammo to sell years down the road, I am just buying it from retailers and reselling it on gunbroker and other sites and collecting the arbitrage.

I know there are some people that are in the business of buying and selling firearms and ammunition because they choose to be in that business.

Are you selling it for the same price you bought it or marking it up substantially and then selling it to people who can't find it in the store because you just bought it all?

When you buy up all the boxes at walmart cheap and then sell it on the internet dear, what does that do to the price at walmart or at classicarms? How does that affect availability? How do you think people feel when they show up and everything is sold out? This is how the panic mentality works.

No I'm not an Obama supporter, that's simply not a rational argument or assumption.

I go buy ammo too, I just don't buy all of it even though I can.

This shouldn't be such a foreign idea. The entire GIM site is about people who are preparing for their own survival of one event or another. The common idea is self sufficiency and not being in a position to have to depend on someone else for your existence. You complain about the selfishness but the OP gladly shared the info on available ammo to you and everyone else on the forum.

What I do with my money, and what Walmart and/or Classicarms does with their product, is none of your business.

Apparently you only care about the Walmart shoppers, but what about the gunbroker shoppers? If I wasnt buying ammo and putting it up for sale on gunbroker, the prices on there would be even higher. I am helping those gunbroker consumers.

I just spent my lunchbreak checking a couple of local Walmart stores. Neither had any ammo, but if they had, I would have bought every box. Then I would have marked it up and resold it on gunbroker.

Obviously the guy on gunbroker is OK with it, or he wouldnt purchase it. Maybe he is a doctor and doesnt have time to check walmart for better deals and just pays an extra couple of hundred bucks to save himself the hassle.

Maybe he is independently wealthy and wants to sit at home all day shooting guns and have his ammo delivered. I really dont know, and honestly, I dont care. Thats his business, and his money, so he can spend it how he sees fit.

Regardless of his circumstances, or my circumstances, its none of your business. Why are you so intent on worrying about what other people spend their money on, or who sells what to whom for what price?

If you think its so important that everyone gets cheap ammo, why dont you buy it with your own money, then you can set up an ammo charity, and sell it to people who you think deserve it, at a price you think is fair.

Or, you can buy yourself an ammo factory, and make your own ammo, and then sell it at a fair price.

Or, you can just complain on the internet that "Its not fair!!!" and berate other people for spending their money in a way you do not approve of.

You may not have voted for Obama, but you certainly are an Obama supporter.

True but I have little use for tangible assets and neither does the majority of the population.

In a day I use very little tangible assets, I'd rather have 18 bottles of dish soap at $1 a pop under my counter than a silver eagle valued at $18

I know what the 18 bottles of liquid will do for me and what they cost me, there is no uncertainty in that game.

If I have a silver eagle tomorrow it may be worth 15 next week 19 and the year after that $10.

If I have to sell it the year after that I'm screwed, not only is $18 worth less than it was the previous year but I'm even getting gypped out of that. Even if I don't have to sell it I have to store it and of course it is of no use to me in the meantime - unlike the bottle of dish soap.

Now I realize there is a need for a store of value but this ammunition thing is a mania and it will crash because you really don't NEED this much ammo even if you live in east LA. The buying frenzy based on irrational fear.

Let me say this again, for about the 10th time.

I buy ammo and then immediately resell it for a higher price. The difference in price is called "arbitrage". I dont care whether the price goes up or down, only whether its profitable to buy from dealers and sell to individuals on gunbroker.

Also, what does it matter that I dont like inflation. Its happening, so what should I do, pretend its not and lose money? Thats just stupid. Maybe thats what you and your Obama supporting friends think passes for a good idea, but around here thats not the case.

Yes, our good friend arbitrage. What makes your arbitrage possible is irrational fear. If walmart was not out of ammo nobody would buy from you at the higher price would they?

So a group of people buy up all the ammo and cause inflation in one area also known as a bubble. I'm not necessarily talking about your situation in particular, a lot of people are buying because they think the price will go up forever, this is not how it works.

But inflation is not happening really.

If you average out what is falling and what is rising you're coming out ahead if you want to - i.e. don't less of what is rising and buy more of what is falling.

For instance, my food costs have fallen because I eat only staples now. I'm in better shape now because of it. My rent has fallen by 200 a month, that gives me more money to take advantage of discounts.

Everything I bought for my place that I mentioned earlier I paid 50% or less.

Now if you're stuck in an overpriced house and still eating out all the time or buying tons of expensive food at costco I guess you're feeling the pinch but it really depends on your choices.

Buying something while the price is rising quickly is generally a bad idea. Identifying undervalued assets is the safest bet for most people, I'm not necessarily talking about you personally now.

If you were loading the truck 5-10 years ago I'd say it was intelligent and it wouldn't hurt anybody because there was plenty and nobody else was doing it.

I know just as well as anyone because I started buying regularly a couple years ago and stopped as soon as the Obamination got elected.

I say that because you don't seem to see the difference between something that there is currently plenty of and cheap(dishsoap) and something that is climbing in price and difficult to find.

You are personally affecting availability and affordability of something that could save someone's life. Dishsoap is not a necessity and I am not driving the price up by buying it for 1 dollar and selling it for 2. I am buying it precisely because nobody wants it.
